Here we go with the rest of the road trip!

So this is once we left Barcelona...on to Valencia for two nights with a quick stop at the beach in Benidorm! This is the science building in Valencia...super cool, and one of the two nice days on our trip!

Valencia held the America's Cup for yacht races this year! So we went out to the port, checked out some boats and then had a drink at the bar and watched the sunset!

This is a modern covered market in Valencia where we made a quick morning stop for some very fresh oranges! The woman told us they had just been picked yesterday! Valencia is known for their oranges! Soo juicy!

Another covered market...this one was less fancy, with all kinds of live seafood; squirming eels, lamb heads, pig's feet, and cow's tongue everywhere!!! But we bought some tasty corn nuts!

This is the beach at Benidorm, a very touristy city with the most sky scrapers you'll ever see in Spain! It was like we weren't in Spain anymore...we also drove through this city on the way up to Barcelona and it was almost eerie with the skyscrapers that weren't lit like the ones in the states, they just kind of glowed and they were all the same earthy color...I thought it was sweet lookin'!

Our first taste of horchata...a wonderfully cold nut drink! It was very good! Valencia is also known for their horchata, I've never seen it anywhere else!

This is the cathedral in Valencia that is said to hold the Holy Grail! I think it's a hoax, but whatevs, still kinda cool!

Our very traditional Valenciana meal, tinto de verano, salad, Valenciana paella (a Spanish dish that originated in Valencia!), and this wonderful pyramid dessert that consisted of orange and chocolate mousse with a sponge cake center! Oh so tasty! Oh, this was the same sunny day...and we ate outside in a cute little plaza overlooking a fountain and the cathedral pictured above!

This is the same plaza! So pretty!

This is me playing at the playground in the pretty gardens of Valencia! The park was a huge man lying down and there were ropes and slides everywhere!!! Abbey and I went down the slide several times, it was so fast...best playground slide I've ever been on!

This is pretty much what they did...almost as soon as we got in the car from Barcelona! Robin, Anna, and Steph were pros at car naps!

One of the billions of vineyards we saw but couldn't get to to tour:(

This is the bull ring in Valencia!

This is our cute little pension in Valencia...very roomy compared to some of the hostels I've stayed in!

This is in front of the old hospital in Valencia that's now a library...we were posing as Greek goddesses...goddess of the hunt anyone?!!!

Of course they're out of order...I don't know if I'll ever figure that out...
