Spring Break-Road trip along the east coast of Spain!

As some of you already know, my road trip began in tears....I embarrasingly (not sure if that's a word!) broke the clutch of a brand new rental car. This nice stick shift car had the reverse where the 1st normally is, and I had to start out in traffic in a confusing country with crazy streets. To make matters worse, the front seat passenger was not very patient with me, sorry Abbs! Stalling in traffic is never calming...I burnt out the clutch, not even realizing at the time that I was probs in the 3rd...

Anyway...things picked up after 12 hours of waiting to leave Granada. So I will once again document my trip with pictures! Hope you all enjoy!

It turns out I only got pics up of Tarragona and Barcelona! Sorry, but I gotta go to class! So I'll add more tomorrow!

This was the church right by our apartment in Barcelona! Pretty!

This is a walkway in the Gaudi park!

There was a cemetary of sorts on the way out of Barcelona...really neat-they were all set into the side of the hill...

I climbed like 5 palm trees at the park!

This guy was playing a digerydoo(I have no idea how to spell that!) He was cool, doing a rap beat and clapping! Funny stuff-oh, this was in the Gaudi park as well!

The infamous lizard of Gaudi!
Gaudi is the man...this is one of his buildings...

Another Gaudi building-this is now a bank!

This is the park Gaudi started constructing for some royalty, but they ran out of money and were never able to finish...it contains the famous lizard and the world's longest, and coolest bench!

The bench! It's so long, and very snake-like!

This is me on the back side of the bench-dangerous! (Not really mom:))

Yet another sweet street entertainer! This guy was crazy with his little crystal ball! Super neat!

This was on palm Sunday...this cute old man taught us the Sardana...a Barcelona dance!!! This may have been my favorite part of the trip!

They buy really fancy palms in Spain that are dried and made into these beautiful things...and they have fancy bows on them! This was inside the Basilica in Barcelona on palm Sunday!

A group of Sardana dancers outside the Basilica!

Running through the pigeons in a plaza...

The Sagrada Familia by Gaudi...an amazing sight in Barcelona...it won't be completed until 2025.

This is a new building that lights up at night!

This was our breakfast in our little Barcelona apartment! Anna woke up early and started frying eggs! Cutest apartment ever, btw! (Steph, Robin, Anna, Abbey)

This is the artwork of Miro, one of the tiles holds his signature! This is the main street in Barcelona, La Rambla.

Another street entertainer...it wasn't windy out...

This was our first stop! Tarragona, with the new rental car-an automatic...We ate breakfast on the beach!

This is a Roman ruin in Tarragona!

Road trip! Back on the road after Tarragona, heading toward Barcelona!

This was a typical expression of mine while driving in the big cities, trying to figure out the billions of roundabouts!

Our first ideas of Barcelona...sweet street entertainers, this guy was tapping and bouncing five balls to make a cool beat!
