Hiking in Monachil

So once again these pictures are way out of order. I apologize. Also, the story of my hike is summarized with the pictures below. However, there are some photos that I decided not to include for various reasons that deserve mention:
1. The poor billygoat we found lying in the river-we predicted that he fell off the cliff above:(
2. Various creepy abandoned buildings that we bravely ventured into.
3. Skeletons and bones of animals-most likely billygoats
4. A sketchy cave we peeked into that contained a recliner and a full skeleton of an animal
5. We saw a tiny crocodile-also known as a lizard
6. Because there is no way to capture this in a picture-we could hear a full echo in the mountains! We yelled "Luther" simultaneously and heard an entire chorus shout back!-so cool!
7. We ran down many a gravely descend and took snack and water breaks atop rocks and grassy nolls(sp?!).-all with amazing views!
That's that! Enjoy the pics-and know that they don't begin to capture the beauty I saw that day in Monachil!Sweet concrete path above the river and through a little tunnel!

Will the purple juice of an olive dye my hair, my hand, or my sock purple?
Prediction: Hair, possibly. Hand, doubt it. Sock, yes!
Solution: Hair, nope. Hand, nada (nothing). Sock, yes, but it's brown!

A pretty waterfall next to the long bridge!

Abbey on a sweet suspended bridge-there were like 6 of them! This one was the longest! We enjoyed running across them together-it's bouncy!

Me on top of our first hill, notice the cute little town way below me!!!

We jumped over this gap...it was HUGE...I could've died!

Can you see our trails?! It was a breath-taking view!

The river in the middle of the mountain ranges...what a creative pic on top of the damn!

The first hill we conquered, and yes, the camera is on a timer!

So after following Spotty for quite a distance, our new friend "Goldy" took over the reins as our leader-he was shortly thereafter called back home by his owner, and we learned his real name, "Puma"

Once we had hiked for a couple hours through the mountain range, we could see the ski slopes of the Sierra Nevadas!

This dog met us on the road and we decided he would be our leader, cuz we had no idea where the trail was..."I shall name him Spotty, and he shall be our valiant leader"

Our first impression of Monachil-cute little town-we got there at 9am to start our hike!

Ditto from mom! But...the hike looked wonderful and the scenery is awesome. It looked like you had a perfect day! How'd you know where to go? I'm sure glad you didn't get lost and especially glad you didn't get hurt :)
Love you,
