Hola from Granada!

Hola hola! I´m now in Granada, after traveling through Madrid, El Escorial, and Toledo. Granada is awesome! I live with my señora and señor and their two daughters. Katie Roos is my roommate! Our house parents are pretty quiet, only speak Spanish, so it´s been interesting so far! We live in an apartment on a pretty busy street right in town. Yesterday the rebajas started, it´s much like the day after Thanksgiving sales, craziness! There were people everywhere, and many many good-looking Spanish fellows! All the stores were packed, Katie and I made our way up and down one street, squeezing through crowds, and even using our Spanish skills! So, pumped for Granada!

Now moving backwards...I arrived in Madrid on Wednesday and we stayed in a nice hotel there for two nights, very cool bustling city! Then we went on the the Valley of the Fallen, Francisco Franco´s creepy, but interestingly beautiful, tomb. Then we went to El Escorial, a cute little town with steep streets and a HUGE monestary. Finally we ended the bus ride in Toledo, a gorgeous city built into a hill. A river runs down below it...ahhh. We were there for two nights as well, in another awesome hotel. I ventured out the first night into a bar infested street...good times. Just so you know, people here go out no early than 12am, and the clubs/discotecas don´t get hoppin´ until 3 or 4am!!! It´s crazy! After two nights in Toledo we took a 5 hour bus ride into Granada, my home for the next 5 months!

We have been on tons of tours of awesome buildings and historical sights. We got to visit the Prado, a huge palace, tons of cathedrals, mosques, etc. Spain is great, super diverse and super cute! The food is decent, haven´t had too much experience with it yet, but my señora will cook some pretty good meals seeing as she is a housewife. My señor is a farmer, olive trees. Alright, well, I don´t know what else to say yet, so...adios for now!
